Cyberabad Police Review 2024 and Vision for 2025: A Commitment to Safety and Innovation

Cyberabad Police held a comprehensive year-end review meeting at the main conference hall, chaired by Cyberabad Commissioner of Police (CP), Avinash Mohanty, IPS. The session was attended by all Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) and law enforcement staff, who gathered to reflect on the accomplishments of 2024 and strategize for the year ahead.

In his address, CP Avinash Mohanty extended warm New Year wishes to all Cyberabad police officers and expressed his gratitude for their unwavering dedication to making the region a safer place. He stated, “Looking back at the spectacular year of 2024 with great satisfaction, we move forward with renewed enthusiasm and commitment to achieve even higher goals in the coming year.”

The CP acknowledged the exceptional contributions of the police forces in various zones, including Madhapur, Shamshabad, Balanagar, Rajendranagar, and Medchal, as well as specialized units such as the SOT, Women & Children Safety Wing, Cyber Crime Unit, and the Traffic Department. He highlighted the importance of working with enthusiasm, commitment, and professionalism to meet the challenges ahead, especially in an era dominated by rapidly advancing technology.

The meeting also featured key updates from various departments. Joint Commissioner of Police Traffic, D. Joel Davis, IPS, discussed the department’s efforts to manage traffic in the face of growing volumes, mentioning the installation of high-rise cameras and drones for traffic monitoring. Madhapur DCP, Dr. G. Vineeth, IPS, briefed on the successful management of 63 events during the New Year celebrations and proactive measures to curb drunk driving.

Cyberabad’s Crime Department, under DCP K. Narasimha, IPS, made significant strides in resolving cases, with the recovery of over 8,000 stolen mobiles. Meanwhile, the Women & Children Safety Wing, led by DCP Srujana Karnam, addressed street prostitution and child welfare issues, with special operations like Muskan and Smile proving successful in missing children cases.

The Cyber Crime Unit, led by DCP Sreebala, made noteworthy advancements, especially as cases of cybercrime increased, with losses exceeding ₹700 Crore. The unit’s proactive efforts, including awareness campaigns, contributed to its recognition with the DSCI Excellence Award.

DCPs from other zones, including Medchal, Shamshabad, and Balanagar, shared their focus on improving law and order, tackling drug-related issues, and ensuring efficient grievance redressal.

The meeting concluded with Cyberabad CP Avinash Mohanty emphasizing the need for continued vigilance, integrity, and professionalism. He reiterated that 2025 would be a year of growth, innovation, and unwavering commitment to public safety.

After a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the New Year, CP Avinash Mohanty interacted with the staff, encouraging them to maintain their efforts to safeguard the community in the year ahead.

The meeting was attended by all senior officers, including Joint CP Traffic D. Joel Davis, IPS, and DCPs from various wings, along with other police officials, ministerial staff, and department representatives.
