CM Revanth Reddy to Hand Over Indiramma Houses at Bendalapadu – A Historic Milestone for Tribal Region

Bhadrachalam-Kothagudem District | Chandrugonda Mandal

Revenue, Housing, Information and Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy announced that the long-cherished dream of the poor to own a house will soon be fulfilled, as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will hand over Indiramma houses at Bendalapadu village, a remote tribal area in Chandrugonda mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

The Minister, along with Housing Department MD V. P. Gautam, District Collector Jitesh V. Patil, SP Rohit Raju, MLAs Jare Adinarayana (Aswaraopeta), Tellam Venkata Rao (Bhadrachalam), and Koram Kanakayya (Yellandu), reviewed arrangements for the house-warming ceremonies scheduled for Tuesday.

Calling it a “historic moment,” Minister Srinivas Reddy said the Chief Minister’s visit to this remote tribal region will remain a memorable day for the people of Bendalapadu. He directed officials from all departments to work with coordination and responsibility to make the program a grand success.

He further instructed that the house-warming ceremonies be celebrated in a festive atmosphere and that the village be beautified without any shortcomings.

Speaking on Indiramma housing, the Minister said:
“Our government has strengthened the Housing Department since coming to power, ensuring justice to the poor through a transparent process. From the selection of beneficiaries to direct transfer of funds into their accounts, every step is being carried out with transparency. Wherever irregularities are found, strict action is taken—suspensions and even ACB cases have been filed against erring officials.”

He added that the scheme is not confined to those who voted for the government, but extends to every poor family irrespective of caste, religion, or politics. “Around 21,500 families in this district alone are benefiting from this housing program. On the occasion of the house-warming, the Chief Minister will personally address the beneficiaries and share in their joy,” he said.

The Minister criticized the previous government, accusing it of weakening the Housing Department and shattering the hopes of the poor. “After our government took charge, we revitalized the Housing Department and are working to make the dream of lakhs of poor families come true,” he stated.

He informed that Ministers Tummala Nageshwar Rao, In-charge Minister Vakati Srihari, and other colleagues, along with MLAs, will participate in the grand housing program.

The review meeting was also attended by TSIIDC Chairman Muvva Vijay Babu, Trainee Collector Sourabh Sharma, ZP CEO Nagalakshmi, Kothagudem RDO Madhu, and several other district officials.
