“CM Revanth Reddy Pays Rich Tributes to Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy, Announces State Honours for Final Rites”

Hyderabad, August 24:
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy described the demise of veteran leader Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy as an “irreparable loss to Telangana,” recalling him as a man of unwavering principles and integrity. Addressing a gathering at Makhdoom Bhavan, the CM highlighted Suravaram’s lifelong ideological struggle and his refusal to ever compromise on his values.

Revanth Reddy noted that despite rising from a grassroots worker to Member of Parliament, Sudhakar Reddy remained humble and grounded. “He lived as a principled leader who never bent before power or pressure. Telangana will always remember his example,” he said.

The CM revealed that Sudhakar Reddy had written to him, requesting that Telugu University be renamed after Suravaram Pratap Reddy. “We immediately decided to honour this wish,” he said. He also recalled Sudhakar Reddy’s immense contribution to the pride of Mahbubnagar district.

As a mark of respect, the government has decided to perform his final rites with full state honours. Revanth Reddy said the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting also paid homage to his services. He conveyed condolences on behalf of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge as well.

Revanth added that just as horticulture and irrigation projects were named after stalwarts like Konda Laxman Bapuji and Jaipal Reddy, the government will hold discussions in the cabinet to ensure Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy’s name remains immortal.
