CM Revanth Reddy Issues Key Guidelines for Permanent Arrangements for Godavari Pushkaralu

Hyderabad 12 Sep 2025 (Patriotic Views) – Chief Minister K. Revanth Reddy has issued several important guidelines to ensure permanent infrastructure development in preparation for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu.

The Chief Minister emphasized giving priority to the development of temple-centric ghats. He instructed that prominent temples located along the Godavari river basin be taken up as the first priority for constructing permanent ghats.

CM Revanth Reddy directed officials to conduct a field-level survey of temples along the Godavari from Basar to Bhadrachalam and identify suitable temples for development based on their significance and location.

He specifically mentioned Basar, Kaleshwaram, Dharmapuri, and Bhadrachalam, along with other major temples, instructing the preparation of a comprehensive list to proceed with development plans.

Special emphasis was placed on temples situated near national highways and state highways in the Godavari basin, with the CM instructing that these sites receive higher priority in the development process.

In addition to expanding existing ghats, the Chief Minister called for preparing long-term plans for constructing roads and other essential facilities on a permanent basis.

CM Revanth Reddy set a target to develop the ghats in such a way that they can accommodate approximately 200,000 pilgrims simultaneously for ritual bathing during the Pushkaralu period.

He further directed that ghat designs should be customized based on the local conditions of each temple, ensuring the infrastructure meets specific geographical and cultural requirements.

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of coordination among the Tourism Department, Irrigation Department, and Endowments Department to execute the development works smoothly and efficiently.
