CM Revanth Reddy Discusses Pending & Future Railway Projects with Officials

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a high-level meeting with officials to review the pending railway projects in the state and discuss proposals for future infrastructure developments to meet growing transportation demands.
The Chief Minister emphasized the urgent need to expedite the work on the Vikarabad-Krishna New Railway Line, directing concerned authorities to take immediate action for its early implementation.
Highlighting the importance of industrial growth in Telangana, the CM suggested the establishment of a dedicated railway line for the industrial sector. He proposed setting up a new railway line connecting Bharat Future City, passing through Amaravati, to Bandar Port, integrated with the existing Greenfield Highway project, to improve industrial connectivity.
Further, the CM elaborated on the necessity of a Regional Ring Rail system to facilitate better intra-regional transport and reduce congestion on existing routes.
In addition, the Chief Minister advised officials to carefully examine proposals for new railway lines aligned with the state’s future requirements, ensuring sustainable and efficient transportation infrastructure.
Significantly, CM Revanth Reddy also called for a thorough study of establishing new railway connectivity from Shamshabad to Chennai for the proposed Bullet Train project, which would not only enhance high-speed travel but also reduce the distance compared to the current railway route.
