CIO Successfully Concludes Nationwide Plantation Drive in Hyderabad
Hyderabad – The Children Islamic Organization (CIO), Hyderabad, successfully concluded its nationwide plantation campaign, “Hands in Soil, Hearts with the Nation,” with a grand closing ceremony at the Islamic Centre, Lakkadkot, Hyderabad.
The event was presided over by Dr. Mohammad Mubashir Ahmed, City President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Greater Hyderabad, and attended by Dr. Saraswati Kaula (Member AIMs) as the Chief Guest.
The ceremony began with a recitation from the Qur’an, followed by flag hoisting and hymns. Children performed the CIO anthem, the campaign song, and a thought-provoking mime act, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. A detailed report highlighted that thousands of children, youth, and volunteers across the country actively participated in the campaign, planting saplings and raising awareness about environmental protection.
In her address, Dr. Saraswati Kaula praised CIO’s efforts, stating that instilling love for nature in children is the need of the hour. She added, “If we collectively focus on planting and protecting trees, we can ensure a healthier and greener environment for future generations.”
Dr. Mubashir Ahmed, in his presidential remarks, lauded CIO’s activities and appreciated the active involvement of parents, especially mothers, in the campaign. He emphasized, “A clean and healthy future is our shared responsibility. Together, we can provide future generations with an environment where they can grow in fresh air and under open skies.”
The program concluded with prizes awarded to outstanding performers, competition winners, and volunteers, followed by a vote of thanks and prayers.
As part of the campaign, over 2,000 saplings were planted at various locations in Hyderabad under the supervision of children and volunteers.
