Chief Minister Announces Installation of Telangana Mother Statue at Secretariat

Hyderabad, Dec 12: (Patriotic Views) In a historic announcement, Chief Minister K. Revanth Reddy revealed in the Legislative Assembly that a statue of Telangana Mother will be installed at the Telangana Secretariat. This move is seen as a tribute to the cultural and emotional significance of Telangana’s people.
Speaking in the Assembly, the Chief Minister said, “With your permission, I bring forth today a matter that will remain a sweet and cherished memory in the hearts of the people of Telangana for generations to come.”
He further emphasized the importance of Telangana Mother as a symbol of unity and strength. “My Telangana, the Veena of a crore gems, my Telangana Mother, the symbol of victory,” said the Chief Minister, quoting the renowned poet Dasharathi. He highlighted that the recognition and honor of any community depend on its existence, and culture serves as the foundation of that existence. The personification of that culture, he added, is Mother.
The Chief Minister stated that Telangana Mother represents the power that united all communities and led them during the long struggle for the creation of Telangana. “She breathed life into the thoughts and actions of four crore people, shaping the very identity of the Telangana community,” he remarked. He further noted that Telangana Mother continues to guide the people toward their collective goals.
While acknowledging that several representations of Telangana Mother already exist in public memory, the Chief Minister revealed that none of these have been officially recognized until now. With this in mind, the Telangana Government has decided to install a statue of Telangana Mother at the Secretariat as a symbol of honor and respect.
The Chief Minister described the statue as an emotional embodiment of the people of Telangana. “The Telangana Mother is not just a concept but an emotion shared by four crore children of Telangana,” he said. “This statue will represent this emotion and the deep respect we have for her.”
He explained that the statue’s design incorporates the state’s traditions, culture, and historical significance. The statue will depict Telangana Mother dressed in traditional attire, symbolizing the state’s rich cultural heritage. She will be shown with a graceful stance, wearing a traditional saree, adorned with jewelry, and embodying the spirit of legendary freedom fighters like Chakali Ailamma, Sammakka Saralamma, and others.
The Chief Minister also noted that the right hand of the statue will carry a symbol of protection, while the left hand will hold traditional crops like rice, jowar, and maize, representing Telangana’s agricultural roots. He further explained that the pedestal of the statue would feature clenched fists symbolizing the struggles and sacrifices of the state’s martyrs.
Speaking about the colors used in the statue, the Chief Minister revealed their symbolism. The blue color represents the rivers Godavari and Krishna, essential to Telangana’s identity, while the green reflects the fertile agricultural land of the state. Red signifies progress, change, and energy, and gold represents prosperity and wealth.
In conclusion, the Chief Minister announced that the statue will be unveiled today at 6:05 PM, emphasizing that it will serve as a reminder of the struggles and sacrifices made for the creation of Telangana and its bright future.
