Celebrations of Sonia Gandhi’s Birthday and Congress Governance Success at OU

Hyderabad: 9 Dec (Patrioitc Views) A grand celebration was held at Osmania University (OU) to mark Sonia Gandhi’s birthday and the first anniversary of Congress Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s successful governance. The event, led by OU student leader and Telangana Congress leader Valigonda Narsimha, featured a cake-cutting ceremony and distribution of books among students.

Dr. Riaz Ahmed, Chairman of the Telangana State Library Council, addressed the gathering, emphasizing Telangana’s rich history of sacrifices. He highlighted the pivotal role of Sonia Gandhi in the formation of Telangana and urged students to learn about her contributions and the background of the statehood movement to pass on this knowledge to future generations.

Dr. Riaz praised the governance of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, urging students and unemployed youth to support the government’s policies. He also acknowledged Valigonda Narsimha’s active role in various movements, particularly during the Telangana agitation.

Dr. Sala Soujanya, National Coordinator of the Indira Shakti Abhiyan, recognized the sacrifices of students in the Telangana movement. She encouraged students, particularly women, to actively participate in politics and assured them of full support from the Indira Shakti Abhiyan, aligning with Rahul Gandhi’s vision of empowering women in leadership.

Valigonda Narsimha, President of the Telangana Students Political JAC, praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s governance for instilling hope in students and unemployed youth. He spoke about the significance of the Telangana Mother statue being installed at the Secretariat, representing all communities, and condemned the opposition from BRS, KCR’s family, and some so-called intellectuals as disgraceful.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from OU student leaders, NSUI members, and several students, including Venkat Mudiraj, Nandu, Shankar Yadav, Abhilash, Suresh Yadav, Praveen Naik, Anil Goud, Ritwik Naik, Sanjeev, Satish, Mamidala Ravi Kumar, Anji, Ravinder, and others.

This event served as an opportunity for students and youth to honor Sonia Gandhi’s contributions and understand the sacrifices that shaped Telangana’s statehood movement.
