BRS Highlights Minority Welfare in 2025 Calendar, Slams Congress for Neglecting Minorities

Hyderabad, January 6 (Patriotic Views): The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) unveiled its 2025 calendar at Telangana Bhavan on Monday, focusing on minority welfare and inclusive governance. The calendar, designed by senior BRS leader Shaik Abdullah Sohail, was launched by BRS Working President K Tarakarama Rao (کے ٹی آر) and former minister T Harish Rao in the presence of senior party members.
The calendar commemorates key initiatives undertaken by the BRS government over the past decade, including the Shadi Mubarak Scheme, establishment of minority residential schools and colleges, and appointment of Muslim leaders to significant roles such as Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister. Other highlights include the renovation of historic structures like the Jamia Nizamia auditorium, restoration of Aneesul Ghurba, and distribution of Ramzan gifts.
Speaking at the event, BRS leaders reiterated their commitment to inclusive governance and social justice, stating that empowering minorities is central to their vision of development. They underscored the importance of education and opportunities for all communities to ensure holistic growth.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali and other senior leaders also attended the event.
Shaik Abdullah Sohail praised the decade-long BRS governance for delivering significant progress to minorities, highlighting landmark steps like the appointment of Muslim leaders to pivotal positions and the nomination of several Muslims as MLCs and heads of corporations.
However, he criticised the current Congress government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing it of marginalising minorities and dismantling welfare schemes initiated by the BRS. Sohail highlighted incidents of communal violence and accused Congress of failing to fulfil promises made in its Minorities Declaration, including increasing the welfare budget and providing financial assistance for higher education.
The event also saw the release of a poster listing alleged failures of the Congress government, such as the absence of Muslim ministers, communal unrest in several districts, and proposals like the removal of Charminar from the state logo. Sohail pledged that the BRS would expose Congress’ governance shortcomings through statewide awareness programmes.
With the calendar’s release, the BRS aims to remind citizens of its decade-long efforts for inclusive development and its continued dedication to uplifting all communities.
