“BRS Has No Moral Right to Seek Votes After Looting Telangana for 10 Years” — Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy

Says BRS and BJP Are Two Sides of the Same Coin; Predicts Congress Victory in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad, November 1, 2025:
Telangana Minister for Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations *Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, who is also the Congress in-charge for **Rahmath Nagar Division, lashed out at the *Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leadership, asserting that those who “looted Telangana for a decade” have no moral right to seek votes in the Jubilee Hills by-election.

Participating in a padayatra held in support of Congress candidate Naveen Yadav at *Sivamma and Papireddy Hills, named after the parents of senior Congress leader and former minister PJR, Ponguleti said that there has been *no real development in the area since PJR’s tenure.

“The BRS leaders who drowned a wealthy Telangana into debt and ignored the poor are now asking for votes. They avoided housing schemes because there were no commissions involved and instead launched expensive projects like Kaleshwaram,” Ponguleti alleged.

He criticised the BRS for comparing its ten years of rule with the *20-month-old Congress government, calling it a “sign of ignorance.” Ponguleti promised that after the by-election, he would personally visit the *Jubilee Hills constituency to issue *housing plots and houses to the poor, and that the Congress government would soon release *another two phases of housing assistance worth ₹5 lakh each to eligible families.

He further said that the *BRS and BJP are essentially one and the same, with an “understanding” between them since the last parliamentary elections. Ponguleti expressed confidence that Congress would win Jubilee Hills with a **clear majority, and suggested that the frustration shown by BRS leaders was proof of their *impending defeat.

“BRS leaders must learn to control their language. The people of Telangana will deliver a tight slap to them through the ballot box by voting for the Congress candidate,” he declared.

The Minister also promised to return to the constituency after the election to personally address public grievances raised during his padayatra. He announced that the Ambedkar Study Circle development works worth ₹1 crore are in the final stage and would soon be opened for public use.

As part of the event, nearly 100 minority youth and another 100 women from the SPR Hills area joined the Congress after quitting BRS. Minister Ponguleti welcomed them by draping Congress scarves, amid cheers, dance performances, and a grand floral reception by local residents.
