BRS backs journalists’ house-site stir in Nirmal

Nirmal,Dec.29(Abdul Majid): The relay hunger strike launched by journalists demanding allocation of house sites entered its seventh day on Monday in front of the RDO office at the district headquarters here.

The protest, being organised under the aegis of the Press Club, received support from leaders of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Addressing the gathering, Koripalli Ramakrishna Reddy, BRS Nirmal Assembly constituency in-charge, along with party leaders Marugonda Ramu (Nirmal town president), Nazeer Uddin, Akram Ali, Gandrath Ramesh, Chari, Masood Ali Khan, Mahboob, Rizwan Khan and Mohammed Nayeem, extended solidarity to the agitating journalists.

The BRS leaders urged the government to immediately resolve the legitimate demands of journalists. They emphasised that journalists render yeoman service to society and called upon the authorities to ensure the early allotment of house sites to them without further delay
