Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar won wide praise for his swift intervention in rescuing flood victims stranded in Narmal village, Gambhiraopet Mandal, Rajanna-Sircilla district.

Responding immediately after learning that five villagers were trapped in the floods, Bandi Sanjay contacted Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, following which four Army helicopters were deployed. Two helicopters carried out successful rescue operations, airlifting the trapped victims to safety, while two more were stationed at Sircilla for further operations.

Bandi Sanjay personally visited Narmal, where villagers and the rescued families expressed heartfelt gratitude, calling him a “Real Hero.” He also consoled the family of Pampukadi Nagayya, who was swept away in the floods, and extended ₹1 lakh financial aid to his son.

Praising the tireless efforts of NDRF personnel and district officials, the Minister felicitated Assistant Commandant Damodar Singh and applauded Collector Sandeep Kumar Zha and SPs for their round-the-clock dedication.

Interestingly, during his visit, Bandi Sanjay also had a brief, cordial interaction with former Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), who was in the area to meet flood victims.

Speaking to the media, Bandi Sanjay thanked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah for their quick support, emphasizing that this was a time to work together beyond politics to save lives.
