Nirmal, Dec. 20 (Abdul Majid): The Telangana Government’s Minorities Welfare Department has invited online applications from eligible minority students under the Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme (CMOSS) – Fall Season 2025. This was stated by District Minorities Welfare Officer, Nirmal, R. Mohan Singh, in a press release issued on Saturday.

The scheme is aimed at supporting minority students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist and Parsi communities who aspire to pursue higher education abroad at the postgraduate or Ph.D. level. Students who have secured admission to recognised universities in countries between July 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025 are eligible to apply, subject to fulfillment of government-prescribed eligibility conditions.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official website www.telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.
up to 5.00 pm on January 19, 2026. After completing the online application, applicants must submit the hard copy along with required documents at the District Minorities Welfare Office, Nirmal, on or before February 20, 2026.

Under the scheme, selected students will be provided financial assistance of up to ₹20 lakh, along with one-way airfare reimbursement up to ₹60,000 or the actual fare, whichever is lower. The district officer cautioned that strict action will be taken against candidates if any forged or false documents are found during verification.
