Hyderabad, 4 Dec (Patriotic Views) Jubilee Hills: In a commendable effort to support the specially-abled community, Hon’ble Mayor Smt. Gadwal Vijayalaxmi and MLA Danam Nagender distributed essential aids and appliances to beneficiaries in a special event organized by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) at Jubilee Hills.

The distribution included:

• Tricycles: 21
• Wheelchairs: 16
• Wheelchair with commode: 1
• Adjustable crutches: 8
• Walking sticks: 5
• Knee braces: 18
• Foldable walkers: 1
• Digital hearing aids: 16

A total of 98 items were handed over to beneficiaries to aid in their mobility and daily living needs.

The event witnessed the presence of GHMC officials, including AC UCD Chandrakant and Jubilee Hills Circle 18 DC Prashanthi, alongside Alimco staff, who facilitated the program. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Vijayalaxmi emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering differently-abled individuals and ensuring inclusivity in society. MLA Danam Nagender applauded the initiative and encouraged continued efforts to support the underprivileged.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the thoughtful assistance, highlighting the positive impact these aids will have on their lives.
