Nirmal, Dec. 30(Abdul Majid): District Educational Officer (DEO) has warned of strict action against schools that fail to adhere to the academic calendar and directives issued by higher authorities of the State Education Department.

The DEO said that at the beginning of the academic year, all schools, irrespective of management, were instructed to function strictly in accordance with the academic calendar prescribed by the State Education Department. However, it has come to the notice of the authorities that some private schools are operating arbitrarily, in violation of the official instructions.

All government and private schools in the district have once again been directed to follow the time schedules and academic calendar issued by the Education Department from time to time, the DEO said.

Warning of stringent measures, the DEO stated that schools found violating the orders of district and State-level authorities would face action, including cancellation of recognition.
