Bandi Sanjay Targets KCR Over Farmhouse Claim, Demands Action Against BRS MLC Tata Madhusudhan Over Speaker Remarks, Seeks Action Against Police Over Women MLAs’ Alleged Misconduct

Hyderabad: Sept 8, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday demanded legal action against BRS MLC Tata Madhusudhan over his alleged derogatory remarks against Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. At the same time, he sought action against police personnel accused of misbehaving with BRS women MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunitha Laxma Reddy during Monday’s Assembly protest.

Addressing the media, Sanjay said democratic-minded people could not tolerate abusive or derogatory language used by political leaders. He demanded that action be taken against Madhusudhan as well as BRS leaders allegedly involved in manhandling police personnel. He said everyone must be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.

Sanjay criticised both the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS, accusing them of diverting public attention from pressing issues and engaging in what he described as “street-level politics.” He said people were facing difficulties over several issues, including Section 22A lands, alleged large-scale land transactions involving ministers and ruling party leaders, and delays in fee reimbursement and the issuance of certificates to students.

Taking a swipe at former Chief Minister and BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao, Sanjay also made sarcastic remarks over the alleged attempt on Rao’s life at his farmhouse. He described the claim as a “big joke” and said Rao had become confined to his farmhouse. In a satirical reference, he suggested that Assembly sessions could instead be conducted at Erravelli so that Rao could attend them.

The BJP leader alleged that both the BRS, when it was in power, and the Congress, which is currently governing Telangana, had promoted a culture in which police were allegedly used to intimidate people. He accused both parties of working together for political and financial interests while preventing genuine public issues from receiving adequate attention in the Assembly.

Sanjay urged the Congress and BRS to stop what he called their “political dramas” and use the Assembly to debate people’s problems and find solutions. He said the public was closely observing the alleged corruption, irregularities and political confrontations involving both parties.

He further claimed that the BJP would come to power in Telangana and said development could be achieved through a “double-engine government.” Sanjay also alleged that BJP legislators were not being given sufficient opportunities to raise issues and participate in Assembly proceedings.
