Konda Surekha Dropped from Telangana Cabinet; Key Appointments Announced

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Thursday decided to drop Endowments and Forest Minister Konda Surekha from the State Cabinet with immediate effect. A recommendation seeking her removal from the Council of Ministers has already been sent to the Governor.

As part of the latest reshuffle, the Chief Minister also decided to rescind the appointment of Dr. G. Chinna Reddy as Vice Chairman of the Telangana Planning Board with immediate effect. Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has been appointed as the new Vice Chairperson of the Telangana Planning Board.

The government also approved two key appointments. Nerella Sharada has been appointed Chairperson of the Telangana State Commission for Women, Hyderabad, while former Rajya Sabha MP G. Sudha Rani has been appointed Chairperson of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA).

The developments mark a significant political reshuffle in Telangana, with changes being made to both the State Cabinet and important nominated posts.
