Awareness Meeting Held for Effective Implementation of HPV Vaccination Programme

Hyderabad: An important awareness meeting was held at Aliabad Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) with the principals of government and private schools under the Jangammet Cluster to ensure the effective implementation of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Programme.

The meeting was led by the Senior Public Health Officer (SPHO), Jangammet. Medical experts, including Dr. Anita, Dr. Shafiullah Baig, Dr. Irshad, and Dr. Lakshmi Priya, briefed the school principals on the importance of the HPV vaccine, its health benefits, and its vital role in protecting girls against cervical cancer.

The doctors urged the principals to create awareness among parents, teachers, and students about the HPV vaccine so that more eligible girls can receive the vaccination and help reduce the future burden of cervical cancer.

At the end of the meeting, principals from both government and private schools assured the Health Department of their full cooperation in making the HPV Vaccination Programme a success.
