Sangareddy: Sangareddy Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj, IPS, on Monday felicitated three retiring Sub-Inspectors—Kista Reddy, Pawan and Raffiq—at a farewell ceremony held at the District Police Office, recognising their long and distinguished service in the police department.

Additional SP Chaitanya Reddy was also present at the event. The retiring officers were honoured with shawls, mementoes and citations in recognition of their contribution to policing.

Speaking on the occasion, SP Paritosh Pankaj said retirement is a natural milestone in every government employee’s career and praised the officers for completing their service with dedication, discipline and without any adverse remarks. He said the support of family members plays a vital role in enabling police personnel to discharge their duties successfully.

The SP noted that Kista Reddy joined the police department as a Civil Police Constable in 1985 and served with courage in Naxal-affected areas of the erstwhile Medak district. Through consistent dedication and an unblemished service record, he earned promotions and eventually rose to the rank of Sub-Inspector.

He said Pawan joined the department in 1989 as a Civil Police Constable and rendered distinguished service in Naxal-affected areas as well as in the Greyhounds force. His rise to the rank of Sub-Inspector without any adverse remarks reflected his commitment and professionalism, the SP added.

Referring to Raffiq, the SP said he too joined the police department in 1989 as a Civil Police Constable and served with distinction in Naxal-affected regions of the erstwhile Medak district. He appreciated Raffiq’s dedicated service and steady career progression to the rank of Sub-Inspector.

Wishing the three officers a healthy, peaceful and fulfilling retired life with their families, the SP assured them that the police department would continue to extend all possible support and assistance whenever required.

Among those present at the programme were Additional SP Chaitanya Reddy, Administrative Officer Padmavathi, Special Branch Inspector Sada Nagaraju, Reserve Inspector Suresh, family members of the retiring officers, Police Association President Janardhan, and other police personnel.
