Hyderabad, August 27: The Mailardevpally Police recovered 34 lost and stolen mobile phones worth approximately ₹5.1 lakh and returned them to their rightful owners after completing the necessary legal formalities.

According to the police, the recovered devices were linked to complaints registered at the Mailardevpally Police Station as well as through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal.

Police said the recovery was achieved through sustained investigation using technical analysis and other investigative resources, enabling officers to trace the phones from various locations. The recovered devices were verified against the details provided by the complainants before being handed over to their owners.

The operation was carried out through the coordinated efforts of the officers and staff of Mailardevpally Police Station, including the Station House Officer, Detective Inspector, Detective Sub-Inspector, crime staff, and under the supervision of the ACP, Chandrayangutta.

The police urged citizens to immediately report the loss or theft of mobile phones at the nearest police station and block the device through the CEIR portal to facilitate prompt tracing and recovery.
