Ministers Komatireddy, Jupally Inaugurate ₹146.71-Crore Road Projects in Balmoor, Nagarkurnool
Nagarkurnool; Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Tourism & Excise Minister Jupally Krishna Rao on Monday laid the foundation stone for three Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road projects worth ₹146.71 crore at Balmur in Achampet Assembly constituency, Nagarkurnool district.
The projects include:
Amrabad–Tolpalapalli Road (₹32.99 crore)
Balmoor–Nagarkurnool PWD Road (₹35.71 crore)
Achampet–Rakonda Road via Uppununthala (₹78.01 crore)
The works, under the Wanaparthy Package-I (Achampet Phase-I), aim to strengthen and widen key roads to two lanes, improving connectivity across several villages.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said the state government is giving top priority to road infrastructure in Achampet and praised local MLA Vamsi Krishna for his efforts. He said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is making repeated visits to New Delhi to secure Telangana’s rightful share of Central funds.
The minister added that he and the Chief Minister recently met Union Minister Nitin Gadkari seeking approval for major infrastructure projects, including the Srisailam Elevated Corridor, Somasila Bridge, and other road projects. He expressed confidence that the region would emerge as a major tourism hub with improved road connectivity and future transport projects, benefiting both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh pilgrims travelling to Srisailam.
