Layout Permissions to Be Issued Strictly as per Rules: Narayanpet Collector Priyanka

Narayanpet, August 24, 2026: Narayanpet District Collector Priyanka has made it clear that permissions for layouts will be granted strictly in accordance with government rules and regulations.

The Collector chaired the District Layout Committee meeting held at her chamber in the District Collectorate on Monday. During the meeting, she directed officials to thoroughly examine all rules and regulations and exercise utmost caution while processing applications for layout permissions.

The Collector reviewed the clearance details submitted by various departments for six layout applications from different parts of the district that were placed before the committee for consideration.

Following the committee’s scrutiny, permissions were granted to three layouts, while applications for another three layouts were rejected.

Speaking on the process, Collector Priyanka said the main objective behind introducing the online system for layout approvals was to simplify the process, reduce processing time and avoid unnecessary physical meetings.

She pointed out that conducting another physical meeting for every application after completing the online verification would unnecessarily duplicate the process. If any officer or committee member raises an objection during online verification, the objection should be recorded directly in the system, she suggested.

The Collector said the system could also be designed to automatically forward applications to the next level whenever an objection is recorded. For applications cleared by all concerned departments, there should be no need for a separate physical meeting, and the files should be moved to the next stage online, which would save both time and effort.

She said a more efficient system would be to bring only those applications involving objections before the physical committee meeting for discussion and a final decision.

Collector Priyanka also directed officials to strictly implement the rule of planting trees on both sides of roads in every approved layout. She said the provision should be enforced to protect the environment and increase greenery in layout areas.

Additional Collector (Revenue) Srinu, Panchayat Raj EE Ashok, Irrigation Department EE Salman, R&B EE Venkata Ramanaiah, DTCP Officer Kiran, and Town Planning Officers from Kosgi, Makthal and Maddur, among others, attended the meeting.
