Jayashankar-Bhupalpally, August 21: Jayashankar-Bhupalpally District Collector Rahul Sharma directed doctors and hospital staff to provide better and timely medical treatment to patients visiting government hospitals.

The Collector conducted a surprise inspection of the Community Health Centre at Chityala mandal headquarters on Friday. He inspected the wards, maternity section, ICU and blood testing laboratory and interacted with patients to enquire about the medical services, medicines and facilities available at the hospital.

Rahul Sharma instructed doctors to pay special attention to patients suffering from seasonal diseases and ensure that they receive proper treatment without any inconvenience. He appreciated the hospital staff for maintaining cleanliness on the premises and directed them to maintain the same standards.

The Collector expressed satisfaction over the availability of doctors and staff following new recruitments and the improvement in maternal and child healthcare services. He instructed medical personnel to follow duty timings strictly and remain available to patients, including during night hours.

He directed officials to send patient samples to T-Hub and ensure that test reports are received quickly. He also asked officials to submit proposals for equipment required to establish a blood bank and take steps for sanctioning Ice-Lined Refrigerators (ILRs).

The Collector further directed officials to install racks and disposal counters in the wards and resolve the ultrasound machine probe issue, which has reportedly remained pending for the past four years, so that the equipment can be brought back into full use.

At Mahadevpur Community Hospital, he stressed the need for a gynaecologist and directed officials to take necessary steps for the appointment. He also instructed hospitals to maintain adequate stocks of medicines and injections required for treating snake and scorpion bite cases.

Hospital Coordination Officer Dr. Srikanth, Training Deputy Collector Naveen Reddy, Tahsildar Vasantha Rao, doctors, laboratory technicians and other hospital staff participated in the inspection.
