Telangana CEO Reviews SIR Process; Mancherial Collector Kumar Deepak Participates in Review Meeting

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy conducted a review meeting through video conference with District Election Officers, Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers from all districts to review the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The CEO reviewed the draft electoral rolls, district-wise details of unmapped voters and identified anomalies, issuance of notices and the subsequent verification and enquiry process. He directed officials to issue notices to voters identified under the no-mapping and anomaly categories and conduct enquiries strictly according to the prescribed procedure.

Sudarshan Reddy said that 395 additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) have been allocated across the State to ensure that the no-mapping and anomaly verification process is carried out efficiently. New login credentials will also be created for the additional AEROs to speed up the process and complete the exercise within the stipulated time.

He instructed officials to ensure that the verification process is conducted transparently and systematically, while taking all necessary steps to protect the electoral rights of eligible voters.

Mancherial District Collector Kumar Deepak, IAS, participated in the review meeting and discussed the progress of the SIR-related activities in the district.
