Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar hailed the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) as the backbone of India’s internal security and a symbol of impartiality, service, and dedication to the nation.

Speaking at the inauguration of new facilities at the COBRA School of Jungle Warfare and Tactics (CSJWT) in Belagavi, Karnataka, on Tuesday, he said, “The peaceful sleep of the people of India is possible only because of CRPF’s tireless service. Elections anywhere in the country cannot be conducted without CRPF. That is why states always prefer CRPF when they need central forces.”

He praised the COBRA unit of CRPF for its exceptional role in the elimination of Naxalism. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Home Minister Amit Shah, Naxalism will be completely wiped out by March next year,” he asserted.

The Minister inaugurated newly constructed facilities worth ₹36 crore, including a training and AV hall, SOs’ mess, and barracks for 180 jawans. Equipped with modern infrastructure such as a seminar hall, auditorium, sand model room, IED model room, and classrooms, the new buildings will boost advanced training for CRPF jawans.

Bandi Sanjay highlighted that CRPF plays a decisive role not only in fighting extremism and terrorism but also in responding to natural disasters. He added that once Naxal-hit areas are now witnessing peace and development due to CRPF’s sacrifices.

“The Modi government is fully committed to the welfare of jawans who dedicate their lives and sacrifices for the nation. Every citizen must carry the oath of ‘Nation First’ in their heart,” he concluded.

The event was attended by Belagavi South MLA and BJP Telangana in-charge Abhay Patil, MLA Vitthal Halagekar, CRPF South Zone ADG Ravideep Sahi, K.K. Sector IG Dr. Vipul Kumar, DIG Subhash Chandra, District Collector, CEO, DFO, and other senior officials.
