Speaking at the Pink Power Run 2024, organized by the Sudha Reddy Foundation and MEIL Foundation at Gachibowli Stadium to raise breast cancer awareness, he emphasized the need for stronger healthcare systems for women, including the construction of more hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, CM Reddy felicitated 91-year-old Dr. Kotha Ushalakshmi, a breast cancer survivor and former professor of Gynaecology. Despite being diagnosed at 69, Dr. Ushalakshmi\u2019s resilience inspired the creation of the Ushalakshmi Breast Cancer Foundation, which has led impactful breast cancer advocacy in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for 17 years. Her son, Dr. Raghu Ram, a renowned surgeon, returned from the UK to support her vision, leading pioneering breast health initiatives, including establishing South Asia\u2019s first comprehensive Breast Health Centre at KIMS Hospitals in Hyderabad.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
