Provide Indiramma Houses to All Eligible Beneficiaries
Adilabad District
Grand Housewarming Ceremony at Dantanpalli
State Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka inaugurates the new house
State Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka stated that every eligible person in the state will be sanctioned an Indiramma house. On Wednesday, a festive atmosphere prevailed in Dantanpalli village of Utnoor Mandal. A grand housewarming ceremony was held for the newly constructed Indiramma house of Lingampelli Taramma, a resident of the village.
The State Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka attended the programme as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the new house. On this occasion, he felicitated the house owner Taramma by presenting her with a silk saree.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Minister recalled that during the 2023 Padayatra, when he toured this region, several mothers like Taramma had told him that they were exhausted after pleading for decades for a house. At that time, he said, a clear promise was made—that an Indiramma Government would come, and once in power, the government’s primary objective would be to provide a permanent house to every eligible poor family with an assistance of ₹5 lakh per Indiramma house.
In line with that promise, he said, 4.5 lakh Indiramma houses have been sanctioned across the state, with 3,500 houses allocated to each Assembly constituency. Reiterating the government’s commitment to the development of Adilabad district, he disclosed that ₹150 crore has been sanctioned for the district so far.
He further stated that the construction of Indiramma houses is being expedited, and based on the progress of works, funds are being directly deposited into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts on a weekly basis. The sanctioning of Indiramma houses, he emphasized, is a continuous process, and all eligible beneficiaries will be provided houses in a phased manner. On this occasion, he also extended New Year and Sankranti greetings to the people.
Earlier, upon his arrival in the village, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Minister Laxman, and MLA Vedma Bojju Patel were given a grand welcome by villagers with drum beats and flowers. Later, they paid floral tributes to the statue of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the village. Ministers also conveyed special greetings to house owner Taramma and her family members. Subsequently, the Deputy Chief Minister was felicitated with a portrait of Dr. Ambedkar.
The programme was attended by District Collector Rajarshi Shah, SP Akhil Mahajan, ITDA PO Yuvaraj Marmat, officials from various departments, public representatives, and a large number of villagers.
