Police Department Accessible to the Public – District SP D. Janaki, IPSPublic Trust in Police Strengthened Through Prajavani

Mahabubnagar:
The Prajavani (public grievance redressal) programme was held today at the Mahabubnagar District Police Headquarters, where District Superintendent of Police D. Janaki, IPS, personally received petitions from members of the public.

People from various villages across the district attended the programme and presented their grievances directly to the SP. The complaints included personal issues, land disputes, family disputes, and police-related concerns. The SP interacted individually with each complainant, patiently listening to their problems and gaining a clear understanding of the issues raised.

After reviewing the complaints in detail, SP D. Janaki issued necessary instructions to the concerned Circle Inspectors and Sub-Inspectors for prompt action. In some important cases, she spoke directly with the respective Station House Officers over the phone and directed them to take immediate and effective steps.

Speaking on the occasion, the District SP stated that the police department is always accessible to the public and that citizens need not approach anyone through influence or recommendations. She emphasized that people can directly approach police officers, and ensuring justice to everyone through lawful means is the primary responsibility of the police department.

She further said that the police system exists solely for the welfare of the people and urged citizens to come forward without fear or hesitation to voice their problems. The SP noted that many issues have already been resolved through the Prajavani programme and that such initiatives have significantly enhanced public confidence and trust in the police department.
