Hyderabad, March 29: A grand mosque is being conceptualized near Puranapul in Hyderabad as part of the Musi Riverfront development vision. The proposed structure aims to blend global Islamic architectural styles with the city’s rich cultural heritage, creating a unique and iconic landmark.

According to sources, the mosque’s design will draw inspiration from European symmetry, Turkish domes, and the spiritual elegance of Madinah. The project seeks to establish a timeless symbol of faith and architectural excellence.

The plan also emphasizes Hyderabad’s historical identity by incorporating elements from the Qutb Shahi and Asaf Jahi eras, seamlessly connecting the city’s past with its present.

Beyond being a place of worship, the mosque is envisioned as a vibrant cultural hub. The proposal includes a dedicated marketplace offering Qurans, prayer mats, and other Islamic essentials. Special spaces will also be created to promote Urdu literature, calligraphy, and the linguistic heritage of Hyderabad.

Additionally, libraries and cultural corners are planned, where rare manuscripts, Urdu poetry, and historical narratives will be showcased, reflecting the city’s shared cultural evolution.

Experts believe that the project will boost spiritual tourism while playing a significant role in preserving and celebrating Hyderabad’s enduring Urdu culture. The mosque is expected to emerge as a living center of faith, history, and social harmony.
