Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Clears ₹92 Crore Pending Dues for Gurukul, KGBV & Best Available Schools
Hyderabad, October 30 (Patriotic Views / ZED News)
Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has directed officials to immediately clear all pending dues related to Gurukul Schools, KGBVs (Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas), and Best Available Schools.
The Deputy CM held a review meeting with officials from the Finance Department at Praja Bhavan on Thursday evening.
Delivering good news for students and administrators of government residential schools across Telangana, the Deputy CM reviewed the pending bills related to mess charges, rent, and cosmetic charges of Tribal Welfare Residential Schools, Tribal and General Gurukul Schools, and KGBVs.
He instructed officials to release approximately ₹92 crores immediately to ensure that students do not face any inconvenience.
Bhatti Vikramarka emphasized that the menu prescribed by the government must be strictly followed.
He also directed officials to conduct regular inspections of Gurukul Schools, Welfare Hostels, and KGBVs according to a fixed schedule — to monitor the quality of food, accommodation, and teaching standards.
Following his instructions, officials have initiated the process to clear all pending bills of these institutions without delay.
The Deputy CM reiterated that the Praja Government places top priority on education and is taking every possible step to ensure that students studying in government-run institutions face no hardship.
He further noted that, unlike the previous administration, the present government is systematically clearing both old and current dues in a timely manner.
It may be recalled that the Praja Government recently increased cosmetic charges for hostel students by 200% and mess charges by 40%.
With the release of pending5y bills and implementation of the revised rates, students will now benefit directly.
The clearance of dues for Best Available Schools will also ensure that poor students pursuing education in these institutions are not deprived of essential facilities.
Principal Secretary (Finance) Sandeep Kumar Sultania and other senior officials attended the review meeting.
