Hyderabad:31March 2026
As part of ongoing efforts to control road accidents, accident-prone hotspots under the V.M. Banjara Police Station limits were inspected by Kallur ACP Vasundhara Yadav along with officials from NHAI, including the Assistant Project Director and site engineers, as well as the Municipal Chairman, Vice Chairman, and officials from the municipal and electricity departments.
During the inspection, rumble strips laid at the Ring Center were examined. In addition, bushes and overgrown vegetation along both sides of the road were cleared to improve visibility for commuters.
Later, as part of Phase 3 of the “Arrive Alive Campaign,” an awareness meeting was held at V.M. Banjara Ring Center. The meeting was attended by the Sarpanch, Panchayat Secretary, auto union members, shopkeepers, and other stakeholders. Addressing the gathering, ACP Vasundhara Yadav emphasized the importance of safe driving practices, helmet usage, and strict adherence to traffic rules to ensure that every individual reaches home safely.
She urged families, especially women, to encourage their husbands and sons to follow traffic regulations and drive responsibly. Highlighting the objective of the “Arrive Alive” initiative, she stressed that the campaign aims to ensure the safety and well-being of families.
Officials further stated that similar awareness programs are being conducted across various police stations in the Kallur Division in coordination with other departments. Corrective measures such as installation of signboards, filling of potholes, and clearing of garbage are also being undertaken to enhance road safety.
