Hyderabad 4 January (Patriotic Views) All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi has criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s gesture of sending a chadar to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, stating that such acts will not stop the BJP’s agenda.

Owaisi remarked, “Kisi shayar ne kaha: Isne hamare zakhm ka yun ilaaj kiya, marham bhi lagaya toh kaanton ki nok se.”

He further explained that while the Prime Minister presents chadar at the Dargah, the BJP and its allies are continuing to challenge the existence of mosques and dargahs through legal cases, rendering the gesture symbolic without addressing the real issues.

Owaisi called on the government to halt the ongoing legal battles against mosques and dargahs and ensure the protection of religious places for Muslims.

Earlier, Owaisi had criticized a petition filed for a survey of Ajmer Sharif Dargah, claiming it stands on a Shiva temple.

He also stated that the BJP and RSS are attempting to spread hatred against mosques and dargahs, which poses a threat to national unity.

These comments come amidst rising legal cases targeting mosques and dargahs across the country, causing concern among Muslims.
