Congress Casts a Shadow Over Telangana, Betrays All Sections: Kavitha

Hyderabad: 30 December (Patriotic Views) BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, claiming that Telangana is under the shadow of Congress like Saturn, leading to injustice and betrayal of all sections of society during its rule. She accused the Congress of misleading people with false promises and starting a corrupt governance regime after coming to power.
Kavitha alleged that the Congress government has deceived farmers by not waiving their loans. She claimed that fraudulent practices are being carried out against farmers under the guise of the “Kisan Bharosa” scheme by imposing unnecessary conditions.
She highlighted the lack of women’s safety in the state, stating that, according to DGP data, incidents of sexual assault against women occur every three hours. Kavitha accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of neglecting women’s safety while the police focus on appeasing Congress leaders.
Kavitha remarked that during the Congress regime, Nizamabad became an orphaned district with no active ministers or MPs. She alleged that the Congress government neither launched new welfare initiatives for the public nor worked on pending projects.
Kavitha called on the Congress government to immediately waive farmers’ loans and ensure the safety of women through urgent measures. She stated that the BRS government had waived loans for 3.79 lakh farmers in Telangana, but the Congress had only managed to waive loans for 2 lakh farmers.
She further criticized the Congress for failing to allocate a single rupee for Telangana University and for ignoring farmers’ issues. Kavitha demanded that the Congress government expedite the completion of pending projects and safeguard the rights of the public.
Senior leaders and officials of BRS also participated in the event, expressing their dissatisfaction with the Congress government.
