Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Tuesday arrested Sai Ram, Deputy Executive Engineer (EE) of the Quality Control Cell in Musheerabad, in connection with a ₹10,000 bribery case.

According to the ACB, Sai Ram allegedly demanded ₹10,000 from a complainant for providing an official favour related to Quality Control certificates for two contract works. The bribe was sought for a certificate already issued for the first work and for issuing a similar certificate for the second work.

The ACB officials recovered the ₹10,000 bribe amount from Sai Ram’s possession. They alleged that he had improperly performed his official duties to obtain an undue advantage.

Sai Ram is being produced before the Special Court for ACB Cases in Nampally for judicial remand. The case is under investigation, while the identity of the complainant has been withheld for security reasons.
