Hyderabad: Bank of Baroda has announced a major recruitment drive to fill 2,482 Local Bank Officer (LBO) positions across 20 States and Union Territories.

The recruitment is aimed at strengthening regional banking services by appointing officers who understand local communities and languages. Selected candidates will be posted in the respective State or Union Territory for the first 12 years of service, or until their promotion to the SMGS-IV grade, whichever comes earlier.

According to the bank, the localised staffing strategy will help improve cultural alignment and local-language communication while strengthening relationships with customers and supporting grassroots economic activity.

The vacancies are for the JMG/S-I grade. Candidates must be aged between 21 and 30 years as on August 1, 2026, with age relaxation applicable to eligible categories. Applicants must have a graduation degree in any discipline and at least one year of post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank.

The last date to apply is September 7, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official Bank of Baroda website before the deadline.

Bank of Baroda Executive Director Lal Singh said the initiative would help create strong local talent pools and contribute to inclusive economic growth.
