Collector Rahul Sharma Directs Officials to Expedite Young India Model Residential School Construction
District Collector Rahul Sharma directed officials to speed up the construction works of the Young India Model Residential School being built at Mailaram village in Ghanpur Mandal and complete the project within the stipulated deadline.
On Saturday, the Collector inspected the ongoing construction works at the school site along with engineering officials. He reviewed the progress of the four academic blocks, senior and junior dormitories, kitchen, dining halls and administrative block. He also inspected the ongoing footing-level and base concrete works.
Rahul Sharma instructed officials to accelerate the construction while strictly maintaining quality standards. He directed the authorities to use shear wall technology for concrete wall construction and ensure that the works are completed to the required standards. He also instructed officials not to remove trees from the construction site and, if removal becomes necessary, to obtain prior permission from the Forest Department.

The Collector said the school will provide residential facilities for 2,640 students and 300 staff members. He directed officials to plan the construction of a 6-lakh-litre underground water tank and a 2-lakh-litre overhead water tank to meet the water requirements of the campus.
Rahul Sharma emphasised that the school should provide students with an excellent educational environment along with all necessary infrastructure. He instructed officials to complete the construction works quickly and with high-quality standards.
