Jangaon, August 20: District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, IAS, conducted a surprise inspection of a rice warehouse at Ippalagadda village in Narmetta Mandal on Thursday to review storage and supply operations.

During the inspection, the Collector examined the warehouse’s current rice stocks, overall storage capacity, and the quantity of rice presently stored. He toured various storage blocks and reviewed the condition of the rice stocks, warehouse management practices, and the supply process.

The Collector also interacted with the warehouse staff to understand the source of rice procurement and enquired about the number of rice mills supplying grain to the warehouse.

Emphasizing the importance of efficient operations, Mr. Jha directed officials to ensure systematic management of rice stocks and maintain a smooth and transparent supply process.

Concerned officials and warehouse staff were present during the inspection.
