Hyderabad CP VC Sajjanar Inspects KBR Park One-Way Traffic on Bike
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, personally inspected the newly introduced one-way traffic system around KBR Park on Thursday, travelling on a motorcycle in civilian clothes to assess the traffic situation on the ground.
Without any official convoy or fanfare, the Commissioner rode through the area around 10 am, starting from Road No. 45 and passing through Jubilee Check Post, Venkatagiri, KBR Park Main Gate, Mugdha Junction, Basavatarakam, Agrasen Chowrastha and Film Nagar Junction before returning to Road No. 45. He made two rounds to observe traffic movement.
The Commissioner also inspected the traffic pattern again during the afternoon. At various junctions, including Agrasen Chowrastha, Film Nagar, Journalist Colony, Jubilee Check Post and KBR Park Main Gate, he interacted with traffic police personnel and sought details about the ground-level situation.
Speaking on the occasion, Sajjanar said traffic movement around KBR Park was running smoothly under the new one-way system. The system was introduced from Wednesday, and although motorists faced some confusion regarding lane changes on the first day, traffic had become smoother by Thursday.
He said clear signboards had been installed at all major junctions and adequate traffic personnel had been deployed to prevent inconvenience to commuters.
The Commissioner further said that the police were coordinating with the GHMC and the construction agency to complete the H-CITY project works at the earliest. He appealed to citizens to cooperate until the works are completed and follow the instructions issued by the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
