Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader and former Telangana Minister T. Harish Rao was stopped by police near his residence in Kokapet while attempting to visit TIMS Hospital in Sanath Nagar.

Police also reportedly placed former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, RS Praveen Kumar, and several other BRS leaders under house arrest, preventing them from joining the visit.

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) strongly condemned the police action, alleging that the Congress government is attempting to suppress the opposition’s voice through house arrests and restrictions on political leaders’ movement.

The Congress government has not yet issued an official response to the allegations.
