Vehicles Must Always Be Kept in Good Condition: Additional SP M.D. Riyaz ul Haq

Narayanpet: 18 / August (Patriotic Views) Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) M.D. Riyaz ul Haq conducted an inspection of the police vehicles at the District Police Headquarters on Tuesday. He instructed police officials and drivers to take special care to ensure that all vehicles used by the police department are always maintained in good working condition.

Speaking on the occasion, the Additional SP stated that police vehicles are continuously used for crucial duties such as maintaining law and order, patrolling, emergency services, and crime prevention. Therefore, he advised personnel not to neglect vehicle maintenance and to inspect the vehicles every day, ensuring that necessary servicing and repairs are carried out promptly.

He instructed drivers to thoroughly clean the vehicles every day before leaving for duty and to check essential components, including tyres, brakes, engine oil, coolant, battery, lights, indicators, and horn. He further stated that every driver should have a thorough understanding of the vehicle’s mechanism and basic technical aspects.

The Additional SP directed drivers to immediately bring any technical issues to the attention of the concerned officials and have them repaired without delay. He warned that vehicles not maintained in proper condition could cause difficulties during emergencies and stressed that preventive measures must always be followed.

He also instructed drivers to strictly follow traffic rules while driving, maintain speed limits, and operate vehicles with utmost caution. Even during emergencies, drivers must exercise due care and give priority to the safety of police personnel and the public, he said.

The Additional SP directed officials to regularly monitor the maintenance and safety of police vehicles as well as the performance of drivers. He made it clear that keeping vehicles clean, properly maintained, and ready for use at all times is the responsibility of every driver.
