Grand Farewell for 25 Retiring Police Officers in Hyderabad; CP V.C. Sajjanar Distributes Retirement Benefits

HYDERABAD (31-07-2026): In a major recognition of their four-decade-long dedicated service to the department, 25 police officers who retired upon superannuation on Friday (31.07.2026) were given a grand farewell and handed over their retirement benefits by Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Sri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, during a ceremony organized by the City Police Co-operative Credit Society Limited. Speaking at the event as the Chief Guest, CP Sajjanar commended the officers for their exemplary 42-year journey, highlighting how their tireless efforts—from the era of bicycle patrols to modern Innova car patrolling—helped build the formidable reputation that the Telangana Police enjoys nationwide today. Reiterating the adage “Once a policeman, always a policeman,” he expressed gratitude to their families for supporting them through high-stress careers and advised the retirees to be extremely cautious with their hard-earned retirement funds by investing only in safe government institutions rather than falling for high-interest financial scams.
The retiring cohort of 25 personnel included ACP Sri B. Babu Rao (CCS DD), Sri P. John (CPR North Zone), 9 Sub-Inspectors, 11 ASIs/RSIs, 1 Head Constable, and 2 LGEs, all of whom were respectfully escorted back to their residences in designated government vehicles following the ceremony.
