Paddy Procurement Accelerated in Chennur Every Grain Brought by Farmers Will Be Procured: Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy
Hyderabad, May 26: Labour, Employment, Mines and Geology Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy stated that the State Government is taking special measures to further speed up the paddy procurement process in Chennur constituency. He stated that paddy yield in the region has exceeded expectations this season, and the government is making all necessary arrangements to ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience.
In view of the unseasonal rains currently affecting the region, the Minister said that officials have already been instructed to expedite the procurement process so that farmers’ produce is purchased without delay.
Dr. Vivek Venkatswamy said that warehouse facilities for paddy storage are being expanded in the Chennur area, and the number of hamalis is also being increased to facilitate smooth handling operations. He further informed that steps are being taken to allocate an additional 75 lorries over and above the existing fleet to ensure timely transportation of paddy.
The Minister stated that the District Collector and the entire official machinery are continuously monitoring the procurement process. He assured that every grain brought by farmers would be procured within the coming week.
Appealing to the farmers, Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy urged them not to panic and to bring their paddy to the nearest procurement centres without delay for smooth and timely procurement.
