Grant Accreditation Cards to Eligible Journalists Promptly: TJA Strengthen TJA Across the District: State General Secretary Mohammed Khalil Ahmed Provide House Sites and Health Cards for Journalists Membership Drive Open Till May 31: District President Mohammed Siddique Ahmed
SANGAREDDY, MAY 20:
The Telangana Journalists Association (TJA) has urged the government to immediately issue accreditation cards to all eligible journalists and take concrete steps for their welfare and protection.
These demands were raised during the TJA district committee meeting held on Wednesday at Hotel Manjeera near Pothireddypally crossroads. The meeting was presided over by District Working President Devarampally Ashok.
Addressing the gathering as chief guests, TJA State General Secretary Mohammed Khalil Ahmed and District President Mohammed Siddique Ahmed called upon journalists to work collectively for strengthening the association across the district.
The leaders emphasized that journalists working for small and regional newspapers should not be neglected and that accreditation cards must be issued fairly to all deserving media personnel based on eligibility.
They further demanded that the government sanction house sites and provide health cards to journalists in order to ensure social and medical security for the media fraternity. The leaders assured that the association would always stand firmly with journalists facing injustice and would remain available whenever support is needed.
The leaders also announced that the ongoing membership drive aimed at strengthening the organization will continue until May 31. On the occasion, identity cards were formally distributed to newly enrolled journalists by the TJA State General Secretary.
Among those present were District General Secretary Mohammed Mujahid, District Treasurer Khalim, senior journalists Ashok Babu and G. Dasharath, along with district journalists Induri Krishna, M. Chandra Reddy, Ramakrishna, E. Bhaskar, Santosh, and others.
