Telangana Strengthens Global Investment Ties with U.S. Delegation

In a significant step towards boosting international collaborations, a high-level delegation from the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum met Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao at the State Secretariat to explore investment opportunities across key sectors.

During the meeting, the Chief Secretary presented a comprehensive overview of Telangana’s rapid growth and investment potential. He highlighted that since its formation in 2014, Telangana has emerged as one of the fastest-growing states in India, registering strong growth in Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and per capita income.

Emphasizing urban development, he noted that Telangana is among the fastest urbanizing states, with nearly one-third of its population residing in and around Hyderabad, which continues to be a major economic growth hub.

Highlighting the state’s strengths, he described Hyderabad as the pharma capital of India and a leading IT hub, with a thriving startup ecosystem, particularly in defence and advanced technology sectors. He also pointed out the city’s growing prominence as a hub for Global Capability Centres (GCCs), supported by world-class infrastructure, reputed educational institutions, and advanced healthcare facilities.

The Chief Secretary further stressed that Telangana offers a conducive investment climate, availability of skilled manpower, rich cultural heritage, and a globally recognized cuisine, making it an attractive destination for investors.

Reaffirming the state’s long-term vision, he stated that Telangana aims to transform into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. The government assured the delegation of full support and facilitation for investments, reinforcing Telangana’s position as a preferred global investment destination.

Director of Industries Nikhil Chakravarthy, along with Malachy Brian Nugent, R. Deepak Joshi, Divdrisht Singh from the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum, and representatives from various companies, were present during the meeting.
