CM Revanth Reddy Meets Maneka Gandhi; Animal Welfare Measures Reviewed

A delegation led by Maneka Gandhi met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to review animal welfare initiatives in the state.

Minister Sridhar Babu, Chief Secretary Ramkrishna Rao, commissioners of tri-municipal corporations, and senior officials were present during the meeting.

Officials briefed Maneka Gandhi on measures being taken within municipal limits for the management of stray dogs and cow protection. A detailed PowerPoint presentation was given on the sterilization program for street dogs across municipalities.

The Chief Minister informed that the government has already formulated plans for cow protection across the state. He also stated that the foundation stone has been laid for a modern, large-scale गौशाला (cow shelter) at Enkepally with advanced facilities.

Further, the CM noted that plans are underway to establish goshalas in various regions and near temples across the state.

Maneka Gandhi expressed satisfaction over the government’s efforts in animal welfare and appreciated the initiatives taken by the state government in this regard.
