Union Minister Kishan Reddy Participates in Sankranti Celebrations at Swarna Bharati Trust
Muchintal (Hyderabad):
Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy participated in the Sankranti celebrations held at Swarna Bharati Trust, Muchintal, and extended festive greetings to trainees undergoing skill development in various professions at the Trust.
Addressing the gathering, Kishan Reddy said that Sankranti holds a very special place in both Telugu states. He emphasized that the tradition of returning to one’s native village during Sankranti—whether one is a Chief Minister, an IAS or IPS officer, or a common citizen—is deeply rooted in Indian culture and should be encouraged across the country.
The Union Minister stated that he would take this matter to the notice of the Prime Minister, stressing that if people who migrate to cities for employment and livelihood are encouraged to return to their native places during festivals, it would greatly benefit the nation socially and culturally.
Praising the work of Swarna Bharati Trust, Kishan Reddy said the organization has been successfully conducting social, spiritual, and awareness programs for the past 25 years under the guidance of M. Venkaiah Naidu. He described the Trust as an exemplary institution that has played a significant role in social transformation.
He further noted that the new training program was inaugurated under the leadership of Muppavarapu Harsha and extended his special congratulations to him for taking forward the vision of the Trust.
Highlighting the scientific and cultural significance of Hindu festivals, Kishan Reddy said that all Hindu festivals are closely linked with nature and villages, and there is profound science behind these traditions. Concluding his address, he once again conveyed Sankranti greetings to Hindus across the country.
