Mudhol 11/January (Patriotic Views/Yaseen Baig) A cricket tournament organized by print and electronic media is going on in full swing at the Government High School Sports Ground in Taluka Mudhol. Cricket teams from different mandals of Madhol constituency participated in this competition. On Sunday, former MPTC Maqdum and former depty Sarpanch Subhash started the competition by introducing the players after the toss. Similarly, cricket teams from many areas of the neighboring state of Maharashtra are also participating and are competing fiercely. With the Sankranti holidays, cricket competitions have become a place of entertainment and enjoyment for students and youth. Sports help in improving physical and mental health as well as instilling sportsmanship in the youth. Since four matches are being organized daily, a large number of locals have come to watch. The players also enthusiastically showed their skills in the cricket tournament. The cricket tournament is reminiscent of a sports festival. The week-long sports festival filled students, youth and locals with great enthusiasm. The locals have expressed their desire to organize more tournaments during the holidays and turn it into a platform for rural level players to represent themselves at the national level. The organizers have made arrangements so that the players do not face any difficulties. The program was attended by former MPP Afroz Khan, BJP Mandal President Kauri Putna, former MPTC Devji Bhumesh, leaders Ramesh, Dharmapuri Srinivas, Madan Patel, Gangadhar, media representatives and others.
