Crime Declines, Public Trust Rises: Narayanpet Police Release 2025 Annual Report
Serious Offences Down by 22%; Peaceful Elections, Improved Cyber Recoveries and Focus on Women, Youth Safety
Narayanpet, December 30, 2025: ( Abdul Raheem / Patriotic Views) Narayanpet District Superintendent of Police Dr. Vineeth on Tuesday released the 2025 Annual Report of the District Police, highlighting notable achievements in crime control, maintenance of law and order, peaceful conduct of elections, and enhanced protection of women, children, and the public.
Addressing the media at the District Police Headquarters, the SP said Narayanpet district, formed on February 17, 2019, presently comprises one sub-division, four police circles, and 12 police stations. He stated that the police force worked relentlessly throughout the year with public safety as its core mission, extending services even during natural calamities.
Dr. Vineeth revealed that serious and grave crimes declined by 22% compared to the previous year. Offences such as murder, attempt to murder, robbery, theft, chain snatching, rape, POCSO, and grievous hurt cases recorded a significant reduction. Crimes against women fell by 4%, while rape and POCSO cases declined by 12.5%, and child marriages reduced sharply by 40%.
Peaceful Polls and Strong Enforcement
The SP said the police ensured peaceful and impartial conduct of Gram Panchayat and local body elections through tight security arrangements. During the election period, 12 MCC violation cases, three poll violence cases, and 63 liquor-related cases were registered, with no major untoward incidents reported.
Cybercrime Control and Public Response
In cybercrime enforcement, out of 368 complaints received, 165 cases were resolved, and ₹20.40 lakh was recovered through court orders. He urged citizens to report cyber frauds immediately through 1930 during the golden hour for effective recovery. The Dial 100 system received 11,124 calls, with Blue Colts police teams providing round-the-clock emergency response.
Narcotics, Illegal Liquor and Traffic Safety
The district police registered 20 NDPS cases and seized 12.675 kg of ganja, while 147 illegal liquor cases resulted in the seizure of 1,526.57 litres of liquor. To improve traffic discipline and reduce accidents, one Traffic Sub-Inspector and 17 personnel were deployed exclusively for traffic regulation and enforcement.
Community Policing and Technology Use
Under community policing initiatives, 251 CCTV cameras are now operational across urban and rural areas and are continuously monitored from the command control centre. Using the CEIR application, police recovered 236 stolen mobile phones worth ₹35.34 lakh and returned them to their owners.
Women, Child Safety and Youth Engagement
She Teams actively functioned across the district, conducting awareness programs in schools, colleges, villages, and workplaces. The Bharosa Centre continued to provide shelter, medical aid, and counselling to women and minor victims. To keep youth away from drugs and substance abuse, police organized sports events involving 30 teams, encouraging positive engagement.
