Preparatory Meeting Held Ahead of Telangana Legislature Sessions

Ahead of the commencement of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council sessions from tomorrow, a high-level preparatory meeting was held today at the Committee Hall of the Assembly building to review arrangements related to administration, facilities, and security.
The meeting was chaired by Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council, and Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Also present were Banda Prakash Mudiraj legislative council deputy chairman”], Deputy Chairman; Patnam Mahender Reddy, Chief Whip of the Legislative Council; Legislative Council Secretary V. Narasimha Charyulu; and Assembly Secretary R. Tirupati.
As the Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao was on an official visit to Delhi, Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Sultanania attended the meeting on behalf of the state government.
Senior police officials present included State DGP Shivadhar Reddy, ADGP Vijay Kumar, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar, Cyberabad Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, Rachakonda Commissioner Sudheer Babu, Intelligence IG Karthikeya, and Assembly Chief Marshal Karnakar.
Key Directions from the Leadership
Addressing the meeting, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar thanked all departments, police officials, Assembly officers, and staff for ensuring the smooth conduct of previous sessions. He urged continued cooperation, timely provision of information sought by Members, availability of departmental officials during discussions, and proactive policing to ensure uninterrupted proceedings. He also emphasized preventing protests and agitations during session hours through advance intelligence and coordination.
Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy called for coordinated efforts by all departments to ensure the successful conduct of Council sessions. He directed departments to appoint nodal and liaison officers, clear pending replies to questions promptly, and ensure smooth traffic arrangements for Ministers, MLAs, and MLCs. He lauded the Telangana Police for their efficiency and urged preventive measures to stop “Chalo Assembly” calls and dharnas during the sessions.
