Journalists protest for House Sites Enters Fourth Day in Nirmal

Nirmal, Dec. 26(Abdul Majid): protest launched under the aegis of the Nirmal Press Club, demanding the allotment of house sites to eligible journalists, entered its fourth day at the district headquarters on Friday.

As part of the protest, journalists took out a massive rally from the agitation camp near the local RDO office to the Mini Tank Bund, where they submitted a memorandum at the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar. The protesters urged the authorities to do justice by allotting residential plots to journalists who have been working for several years in various television channels and daily newspapers and are facing hardships while living in rented houses.

Journalists Sridhar, Sayanna, Anand, Abdul Majid, Ashok, Ather, M.S. Waseem, Salman, Mahesh,Lakshminarayana, Kailash and Srinivas, along with several others, participated in the programme.
